<aside> 👋🏽 I am a PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University (HCII, School of Computer Science), advised by Sauvik Das at Spud Lab. I enjoy tackling complex problems creatively with emerging technology. In my PhD, I am focussing on building tools for usable security and privacy—though established as a critical field, privacy is often a secondary concern, an afterthought for users. I aim to creatively leverage intelligent and emerging technologies to help users approach critical decisions more thoughtfully (UIST’24 Demo). Prior to joining CMU, I graduated in Computer Science and Design from IIIT Delhi, India, where I was advised by Aman Parnami at Weave Lab. There, I studied and built solutions to counteract dark patterns in smartphone overuse and binge-watching (DIS’24 Provocation, DIS’22). I also interned at the iLab, University of Calgary, Canada, under Ryo Suzuki, where we explored concepts towards the vision of blending the physical and virtual worlds seamlessly (UIST’22, UIST’23, CHI’23).
